Everyday, the world seems to be getting a little bit more dangerous. The news reports story after story of assault, robbery, sexual assault, and murder. Here in the Tampa Bay area, it also seems like the ruthlessness of criminals include police, and we’ve lost more than our fair share in the last couple of years. While homicide nation wide is on the decline, the violence level of encounters is increasing with more and more crimes occurring that involve serious injury or death. Honest citizens are buying guns and becoming licensed to carry those guns concealed in record numbers. However, they still have a feeling of unease that comes with lack of adequate training.
Do you KNOW that should the time come you would be able to get to your weapon and be able to defend yourself and your loved ones with it?
If you’re being honest with yourself, that nagging feeling pulling at you is doubt. There is more to being able to protect yourself against a violent encounter than having bought a gun, fired it a few times at the range (or even more than a few times), and obtaining your concealed carry license. You must be able to use it, while under stress in a knock down drag out violent situation, and in a manner that doesn’t involve the time it takes to achieve good marksmanship. Youhavetobe able to go from pulling your weapon to pulling the trigger in mere moments and stop your opponent.
